Current Training Opportunities
This in-depth workshop for mental health challenges emphasizes current evidenced based research and practice, objective assessment tools; uses clinical case studies, video, small group discussion and clinical reasoning activities.
Occupational Therapists are unique as the only health care professional that brings the whole person approach. Psychosocial factors are more influential than physical factors when returning individuals to work with physical injuries. This one hour workshop introduces Case Managers and Human Resource Professionals how psychosocial factors are critical to successful sustainable return-to-work.
Approximately 2.5 million Canadian adults – over 10% of the population have a depression disorder, with many more undiagnosed. This one hour workshop introduces Case Managers and Human Resource Professionals to return-to-work and stay-at-work processes for individuals experiencing mental illness.
